Workflow management rules provide a way for businesses to define their own business processes without the need for extensive programming knowledge. These rules allow organizations to automate the execution of tasks that need to be completed, and also provide a way to identify any potential issues with the process in real-time.

In the workflow, evaluation criteria determine when an additional resources action should be executed. The criteria can be based on various parameters, such as field values records types as well as the ownership of records and more. Workflow rules are able to be configured to trigger actions based on events relating to notes in one particular module. A company could set the rule to be executed every time a note is made or modified, so that customer support teams are able to keep track of any mentions of competitors and respond quickly.

When a rule is activated and the rule is activated, the action could be either an instant action or a scheduled one. Instant actions take effect right after the rule is activated. The scheduled actions are activated later.

When a scheduled action is activated it will be performed according to the set date and time. The action can be an email notification, field update, task, webhook or function. You can also choose any existing email notifications fields, tasks, or webhooks that you want to associate with the planned action. You can also choose tags to use to filter the recorded data to the specific action.
